What is Dorna Kids?

Dorna Kids is an expansion tailored specifically for children aged 3–9. Based on the core pillars of Dorna Music & Arts, we provide a brave space for cultural discovery. Using the Orff Schulwerk method and perception science, we transition children from passive listening to active exploration.

Discover Your Child's Musical Potential Join us for an exciting, interactive music workshop led by renowned instructor Parisa Daneshvar. Designed specifically for young musicians, this session is the perfect introduction to the joy and teamwork of ensemble playing. Through engaging musical games and introductory training, we will be scouting bright young talents to form the foundation of the upcoming Dorna Children’s Orchestra! 🎻 A Note on Instruments To get the most out of the day, children are highly encouraged to bring their own musical instruments. They will have the unique opportunity to participate in a collaborative group playing session and experience the magic of making music together. ⚠️ Spaces are limited. To ensure every young musician receives personalized attention and mentorship from the instructor, we cap our registration numbers. Secure your child's spot today and let their orchestral journey begin! Parisa Daneshvar: Parisa Daneshvar is a professional musician, performer, educator, and music therapist based in Seattle, WA. Hailing from a musical family, Parisa’s extensive background in Persian Classical Music included Radif and Dastgah (melody and mode) training from some of the most influential musical masters of the era, now synthesizing that experience with her own voice as a mentor to students aged 3 to 80 and everywhere in-between. An accomplished Ney player and savvy pianist, Parisa has received awards and accolades for her inspired performance history both in her native Iran and her adopted home in the United States. An active music therapist, Parisa offers one-on-one patient interactions, in addition to small- and large-group therapeutic sessions employing musical activities to guide, develop, and harmonize individuals and improve their emotional, physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.

While instruction is in English, we may offer a Persian-language version if capacity is reached.
